Samsung heeft de Galaxy Note 10.1 geïntroduceerd, een krachtige tablet die wordt geleverd met de zogeheten S Pen, een geavanceerde pen waarmee je gedetailleerde aantekeningen en schetsen kunt maken. De tablet is uitgerust met een 10,1 inch scherm (1280 x 800 pixels), Android 4.0, een 1,4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM en 16GB opslagcapaciteit.
De S Pen is in de behuizing van de Note 10.1 verwerkt. Zodra je hem eruit haalt, worden automatisch applicaties geopend, zoals S Note, S Planner, Adobe Photoshop Touch of Polaris Office. Uiteraard kun je dit naar eigen wens instellen.
Ook het scherm biedt een aantal handigheden, waaronder Smart Stay. Hiermee blijft het scherm geactiveerd zolang je ernaar kijkt. Met Pop Up Play kun je overal op het scherm een video bekijken, terwijl andere taken gewoon 'open' blijven staan. Via AllShare Cast wissel je elk bestand direct uit met je tablet, pc of tv met dlna, ongeacht wat je wilt tonen. AllShare Play maakt het bovendien mogelijk om documenten, presentaties en afbeeldingen te delen zonder alle aparte bestanden te uploaden.
De Galaxy Note 10.1 is tevens geschikt voor multitaskers, want via het Multiscreen kun je twee verschillende applicaties naast elkaar open hebben staan en gebruiken. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld de browser open hebben terwijl je notities aan het maken bent.
De tablet is 8,9 mm dik, weegt 600 gram en biedt verder onder meer een 5 megapixel camera met led-flitser, een 1,9 megapixel webcam, gps, Bluetooth 4.0 en ondersteuning van Wi-Fi Direct.
De Galaxy Note 10.1 met Wi-Fi heeft een adviesprijs van 479 euro. Met 3G erbij is de prijs 599 euro.

We don't have the answers to those questions, but we do know that this coming September is going to be one of the busiest months for mobile geeks out there. You've got Samsung's Galaxy Note II announcement on the last day of August; Nokia hosting Nokia World in early September, where it's widely believed that it will announce the world's first Windows Phone 8 devices; and of course Apple, who is said to be announcing the iPhone 5 on September 12th.
